Love Your Career Scholarship

Description: $1,000 scholarship is open to current college students attending college in one of the 50 U.S. states at the time of the application deadline. Applicants must submit an essay describing at least three steps they plan to take in the next year to start a path toward a career they love. Youth Free Expression Film Contest: Truth to Power

Description: Contest is open to individuals living in the U.S. or its territories (but need not be citizens) who will be age 19 or younger on the day the film is submitted. Contestants must create a three-minute film about engaging with the ideas they hate.

Golden Door Scholars (application opens September 4)

Description: $40,000 maximum scholarship available specifically for DACA recipients, TPS holders, and students who are undocumented (Visa holders may also be eligible to apply. Please email info@goldendoorscholars.org for clarification). Application typically opens in September and closes towards the end of October. Applicants must either be in high school in the United States, have graduated from a U.S. high school, or obtained a GED certificate in the U.S. To receive scholarship, students must attend one of Golden Door’s partner colleges (linked here).

Description: Eligibility begins with maintaining a weighted GPA of 3.0 (B average) or better. Applicants also need to be proven leaders and role models within their school and community. And applicants must participate or have participated in grades 9, 10, or 11 in at least one of the sports recognized by the International Olympic Committee in the Summer and Winter Olympic Games, the Paralympic Games or the National Federation of State High School Associations.
