Priority Waste is only collecting trash and recycling from the new carts and drivers will NOT collect the material if the new carts are not utilized first. Up to 5 bulk items are allowed.

If you have questions about what can be put in the recycling carts, Priority Waste will be giving presentations on June 5th (Civic Center Library at 6:30pm) and June 13th (Senior Center at 1pm - ages 55 and older only)

Library Open House: Thursday, June 5th from 6pm to 7:30pm at Civic Center Library

Fire Open House: Tuesday, June 10th from 6pm to 7:30pm at Fire Station #1

The Livonia Built Bond Proposal will be on the August 5th primary ballot. Learn about the proposal here and use the calculator on the website to see how much the millage would cost you.


20 candidates filed for 4 open City Council seats The top 8 vote getters in the August 5th primary will be on the November 4th ballot. Early voting will take place on August 2 (Saturday) and August 3 (Sunday) before the Election at Livonia City Hall. Curbside service is available by request - call the Livonia City Clerk to make arrangements (734) 466-2230.

Carrie Budzinski

Carrie founded Vote.Run.Serve in 2020 in order to make information about government more accessible to busy people. Democracy depends on informed and engaged citizens and she hopes the platform will inspire fellow Livonians to get involved by voting, running for office or participating in community events.


She is a married, working mom that runs the daily operations for LittleGuide Detroit. She was elected to a 4 year City Council term in 2023. Carrie lives in the States Streets neighborhood.

Brian Weiss
Brian is the co-founder of Vote.Run.Serve-Livonia.

He’s a data scientist at Ford Credit during the day, and maintains an organic farming to keep him grounded. He is a resident of the Castle Gardens neighborhood.

Michael Testa

Mike is our correspondent for Livonia Public Schools and covers the School Board Meetings. 


He is from Grosse Pointe Woods originally, a graduated from Michigan State, a Mechanical Engineer by trade, and has lived in Livonia for over 20yrs. He is married with 4 kids that attend Livonia Public Schools. Mike is an advocate for public schools and has a passion for STEM. He is a PTA Member and serves on the MI PTA Advocacy Committee and the Livonia PTSA Council. Mike also serves on the Livonia Zoning Board of Appeals.

Drew Buatti

Drew Buatti is Vote.Run.Serve's community correspondent, always willing to step in an help cover meetings when needed.


A graduate of Livonia Public Schools and current college student, Drew is active in the community as a Rotarian and frequent volunteer.
