From Your Administrative Team

Greetings Connect K8 Families,

Happy Native American Heritage Month! For a wide variety of resources on Indigenous History and Heritage, we encourage you to visit this website, hosted by the Library of Congress.

We also want to wish you a very happy Thanksgiving Break--we hope this time is filled with rest, reflection, and many moments of gratitude.

Finally, we would like to ask that you take a few short minutes to complete our Fall Parent Survey! All families at Da Vinci Schools are asked to participate--your feedback is valuable and we read every response! Thank you for sharing about your experience with us in this way.

Take Good Care,

Kaitlin (she/her) and Sage (he/him)

Thanksgiving Break

Monday 11/21-Friday 11/25--no school

We are grateful to share this community with all of you, and hope you enjoy this well-deserved break of reflection and gratitude!

Exhibition!

Tuesday 12/6 and Thursday 12/8 from 4:30-5:15pm and 5:30-6:15pm

It is almost time for one of our favorite signature events at Da Vinci Connect! Exhibition is an evening event open to the community where students show what they know by presenting their classroom projects to visitors on campus! Each student is responsible for attending and presenting their classroom project on their Exhibition night. Please see e-mails from your classroom teacher regarding your student's specific presentation day/time.

While our Exhibition evening is split into two distinct times, families are welcome to stay and act as visitors during the alternate time--we want to allow the opportunity for a more intimate presentation experience, while allowing the flexibility to stay longer if desired! Families are also welcome to attend the other cohort's exhibition night as visitors!

Exhibition Dress Code: Student presenters are required to dress professionally for Exhibition. This means slacks, button up shirts, ties, or professional skirts/dresses. Dress shoes are also required.

We are interested in creating an "Exhibition Closet" If you have professional clothes/shoes that no longer fit your student, please consider donating them to us so that we can build our Exhibition Closet for families to borrow from in the future!

We can't wait to celebrate your student's learning at this very special event!

Learning Log #2 Update

Due Tuesday 12/13 at 11:59pm

If you have not been keeping up to date with Learning Log #2, please take some time to get caught up. Our turnaround time to report attendance to the state is VERY short for this learning log period! We have a matter of days to process ALL learning logs and report our attendance by the reporting period--your complete and timely submission of Learning Log 2 will help immensely in our ability to report accurately and for as much attendance as possible. Thank You!

Garden Club Update!

Big thanks to all our families who donated pumpkins for our classroom challenge to design pumpkins using eco-friendly ideas for decor! Click HERE to enjoy a few submissions from our students representing a collaborative work from their Cores and Cohorts. Stay tuned for updates from the Garden Club about the 'pumpkin' composting activity we're conducting over the next few weeks!
