(L-R: Andrew Husted, Jeff Barber, Me (Steve Pierce), and David Baker)

My brother-in-law invited two acquaintances and me to Fall Cigar Night at Detroit Athletic Club ("DAC") last Thursday, October 15. We were treated very well. It was a great evening. It began at the club's front entrance (pictured), where we collected cigars and walked to La Casa Cigars & Lounge, 1502 Randolph Street, which had a cash bar and wandering hors d'oeuvres. When summoned, we walked back to the DAC, 241 Madison Street, just one minute's walk, where we enjoyed a four-course meal, in the large dining hall, with at least 150 others. After dinner, we took the elevator to "The Last Word Cigar Lounge" on the 7th floor, where we joined many others, talked, and viewed both Comerica Park and Ford Field from the north terrace. Three of us hadn't been together in at least a few years. The fourth, Andrew, is an early 30s, University of Michigan Engineering Grad and co-founder of 3D printing company, Thingsmiths, in Ann Arbor. Nice to have a men's night out.

Let me take you to lunch. There's no obligation. Being with you is worth my time!
