Greetings!
Palm Sunday invites us into Holy Week with a call to humility, courage, and hope. Jesus enters Jerusalem not in power, but in gentleness, showing a kingship rooted in service. His obedience to the Father, even through suffering, opens the way to new life.
The Passion reveals human weakness, God’s mercy, and the truth of the human heart. Some stayed silent, Peter denied him, Judas betrayed him. Yet even failure can lead back to grace, as Peter’s repentance shows. Jesus faced rejection and the cross with quiet trust, offering his suffering in love.
But the cross is not the end. God raised Jesus, proving that goodness is stronger than evil and that humility leads to glory. As we begin Holy Week, we are invited to follow his path: to trust, to love, and to hope. Through Christ, every sorrow can lead to resurrection, and God’s promise of new life remains for us all.

Archbishop Sample's message about Antisemitism
Catholics are called to reject antisemitism and the lies and conspiracies that fuel it, and to stand clearly against hatred and violence directed toward our Jewish brothers and sisters. To defend religious freedom with integrity, we must also reject antisemitism.

Purple Envelopes to Facilitate Almsgiving
Throughout our Lenten journey, Jesus is calling us to engage in the traditional practices of prayer, fasting and almsgiving. In order to facilitate almsgiving among the members of our faith community, the parish is providing "purple envelopes" which will be available in the pews during this holy season. I ask that each person take a purple envelope home. Reflect on what the Lord is calling you to give in support of the works of this parish. Then return the envelope and place it in the collection basket.
Thank you in advance for whatever you choose to give in accordance with the inspiration given you by the Holy Spirit.
Fr. Bill

Why should you register in our parish? | | |
Registering at Resurrection Catholic Parish is an important step in becoming an active part of our faith community. While anyone is welcome to attend Mass, parish registration provides several meaningful benefits—for you, for the parish, and for the wider Church.
Being registered means you belong to a community that knows you by name, prays with and for you, and is ready to support you in your faith journey. It gives you a place where you can grow spiritually, receive the sacraments, and build lasting relationships.
Many sacraments—such as Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, and Marriage or being a God-parent or sponsor require parish registration. Registration also helps Fr. Bill and the staff support you pastorally when you need it, whether it’s spiritual guidance or other care.
It makes it easier to stay connected with parish events, programs, and opportunities to serve through the Connection.
Knowing who is part of the community helps the parish allocate resources wisely and offer the right programs and support.
Registering signals your commitment to helping your parish thrive. Regular participation and stewardship—whether through time, talent, or treasure helps strengthen the parish’s ability to serve others and carry out the mission of the Church.
Registration helps create accurate sacramental records, provides proof of church membership when needed, and ensures you are contacted for important parish updates and events.

Care for God’s Creation Prayer
God of all creation,
How splendid and majestic is the
world you created!
It reveals your glory;
it teaches us about you.
When you made us in your image,
you gave us this command:
care for the world and
for all the creatures in it,
for this is our common home.
Yet your holy creation cries out,
for our home is
“burdened and laid waste,”
scorched and scarred.
Come among us
that we might remember
our interdependence.
Let us see the face
of your Son
in those who suffer
from the destruction
of our common home.
Help us to be stewards
who honor you in the world
you have made for
the good of all creation
and for future generations.
May your justice reign forever!
Amen

QCD
A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows individuals who meet the age requirements old or older to donate up to one or more charities directly from a taxable IRA instead of taking their required minimum distributions.
RMD
Required minimum distributions (RMDs) are the minimum amounts you must withdraw from your retirement accounts each year. You generally must start taking withdrawals from your traditional IRA, SEP IRA, SIMPLE IRA, and retirement plan accounts when you meet the age requirements. Changes in deduction rules and limitations will impact how much you can deduct for donations.
Meeting the age requirements, you may qualify to take annual distributions from your retirement account to make tax free donations to charities of your choice.
Resurrection Church is a qualified public charity 501(c)(3) and can receive your QCD.
Contact your financial advisor for updated and relevant tax advise.
