Meet the Presenters

House manager Claire Hoslet, Program Manager, says twelve moms will be able to call Trinity House home. During their stay, moms will meet with a mentor to work on parent education, receive support material like diapers, wipes, clothes, all necessities, and work on setting goals for themselves. “The wraparound support and having someone there for them and genuinely caring about them and wanting to walk alongside them."

Dallas Palmer is the Chaplain for Brown County Jail, Brown County Sheriff's Office and multiple agencies across Brown County. He helps coordinate re-entry services, provide resources such as bibles and books, counseling, and much more for inmates seeking to be re-establish as a redeemed citizen of Brown County. Chaplain Dallas also provides services to officers by providing them with counseling, resources, services for the officer’s families and much more. He also serves on several faith-based non-profit boards within Brown County with the vision of them all working together to better assist released inmates.

In my role at World Relief Wisconsin, my primary role is to encourage more distinctly biblical thinking about refugee resettlement and immigration issues in a non-partisan way around the state.

At World Relief, we affirm that every human being is created in the image and likeness of God (Imago Dei), and no matter where a person comes from they have inherent value.

Jeremie Johnson helps lead the team creating the EXPO event. The Christian Educators Expo is an outlet to connect and initiate conversations with families interested in partnering with private schools in NE Wisconsin. When it comes to raising their children in the Lord, there are times when parents are just overwhelmed and need some extra help to come alongside them; a private Christian school can be a good partner. The Expo will allow parents to see the wide variety of private Christian schools in Northeast Wisconsin that can cater uniquely to each child and help better prepare them for the plans that the Lord has in store for them.

Flourishing--a refresher, see this link.

Religious Communities as a Pathway to Flourishing

Supporting the Six Domains of Human Flourishing

1. Happiness and Life Satisfaction

How Religious Communities Can Help:

  • Foster meaningful experiences through worship, celebration, and fellowship.
  • Promote gratitude practices, testimonies, and sharing victories.
  • Provide a sense of belonging where members feel seen, valued, and known.
  • Teach that contentment and joy can coexist with hardship (e.g., joy as a fruit of the Spirit).

Ministry Ideas:

  • Meaning-themed events and message series.
  • Testimony nights or celebration services.
  • Hospitality teams that intentionally connect individuals.

2. Mental and Physical Health

How Religious Communities Can Help:

  • Create spaces for emotional vulnerability and prayer.
  • Reduce stigma around mental health struggles through open conversations and referrals.
  • Encourage holistic living (Sabbath, rest, moderation, healing/prayer).
  • Offer support groups for stress, grief, addiction, or trauma.

Ministry Ideas:

  • Partner with Christian counselors or host mental wellness workshops.
  • Incorporate healing or anointing services for mind and body.
  • Launch wellness ministries (walking groups, healthy habits classes, etc.).

3. Meaning and Purpose

How Religious Communities Can Help:

  • Teach a Biblical understanding of calling and purpose.
  • Help individuals identify their spiritual gifts and align them with opportunities to serve.

  • Provide discipleship that connects daily life to eternal meaning.

Ministry Ideas:

  • "Discover Your Purpose" workshops.
  • Commissioning services for teachers, parents, healthcare workers, etc.

4. Character and Virtue

How Religious Communities Can Help:

  • Teach and model Christ-like virtues: love, humility, courage, self-control, forgiveness.
  • Foster accountability and personal growth through small groups or mentoring.
  • Equip members to navigate ethical dilemmas in culture, work, and relationships.
  • Encourage repentance and restoration when mistakes happen.

Ministry Ideas:

  • Character series (e.g., Fruits of the Spirit or Beatitudes).
  • Intergenerational mentoring relationships.
  • Accountability groups for men, women, students, or leaders.

5. Close Social Relationships

How Religious Communities Can Help:

  • Provide structured opportunities for meaningful connection (small groups, classes, teams).
  • Celebrate life transitions together (births, baptisms, graduations, weddings, grief).
  • Encourage reconciliation and peacemaking when conflict arises--inclduing coaching and classes.
  • Promote intergenerational and cross-cultural friendships.

Ministry Ideas:

  • "Find Your People" connection campaigns.
  • Host meals or mixers regularly after services.
  • Develop leaders with gifts in hospitality and relational discipleship.

6. Material and Financial Stability

How Religious Communities Can Help:

  • Teach Biblical stewardship, generosity, and contentment.
  • Offer practical financial training (e.g., budgeting, saving, debt reduction).
  • Create benevolence funds for emergency needs.
  • Help members find jobs, housing, or connections through trusted networks.

Ministry Ideas:

  • Host Financial Peace University or similar programs.
  • Launch a career coaching or job board ministry.
  • Offer tax prep or long-term financial planning through church partners.

Which one thing can your ministry try today?

Want to invite all of Green Bay to church?

I had a meeting with Chase Windebank, from City Reach, earlier in the week. We discussed: "Back to Church Sunday" on September 21st, a Christmas invitation, an Easter invitation, or a student invitation to youth programs ("Back to Jesus Wednesday"), such as VBS ("Who is Jesus?"). Chase helps facilitate a program that is gaining traction around the USA, which is either a paper invitation or a digital campaign that reaches as many people in the general population as possible. Cityreach.us is the program site. Servewi.com, and whoever else steps up, would coordinate. (I would love to have a small group in charge.) City Reach would do the heavy lifting. You would be a pray-er, coordinator, and/or financial partner. And if we humbly link arms across the city, we might just see God move. Have you ever considered actually inviting EVERYONE to church? :) What do you think? Is there enough interest? SERVE will donate some money and pray. Want to invite everyone to church? Let me know--email.
