Your Guide to Storytelling Marketing

Storytelling is more than a business buzzword— it’s a practice that requires time and skill. You know a good story when you hear one, but how do you use narratives to grow your company and fulfill your mission? Your audience needs what you offer, they just don’t realize it yet.

In this Marketing Monday webinar, Your Guide to Small Business Storytelling, Robert Carnes, Author and Marketing Strategist, explains how to shape a clear narrative that invites your prospective and existing customers to listen and engage. Storytelling Marketing involves using a narrative to communicate a message so the consumer will be inspired to take action.

Storytelling in marketing helps consumers to understand why they should care about your brand. Stop struggling with marketing and embrace a path toward better storytelling.

CHAMBER NUGGET

Dominique Louis, Cherokee Angel Senior Care Executive Director, has been involved with the Chamber for four years and cites the E3 Committee as his favorite Chamber program or initiative. Professionally, the Chamber has provided invaluable opportunities to build relationships with fellow business owners, community leaders, and service providers. The connections have expanded his network and increased visibility for his business. Through the various leadership programs/seminars, he has learned best practices that have helped strengthen Cherokee Angel Senior Care.

Personally, he has gained a deeper sense of connection with the community. stating, "I’m surrounded by more likeminded people who are committed to service, education and economic development." He was born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and had the honor of representing Haiti on their National Volleyball Team. He proudly serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army and has been married to Midelyn for 33 years and they share two children. He describes the Chamber as "Community" and himself as "Dedicated".

Lindsey Shrout, Community Relations Coordinator for Northside Hospital Cherokee, has been involved with the Chamber in her current role for three years, but she has been involved for many years, including graduating from Teen Leadership Cherokee in 2005!

Leadership Cherokee is her favorite Chamber program/initiative. Her involvement with the Chamber has been incredibly valuable both personally and professionally by giving her the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, expand her network, and learn from other professionals in our community. "I’ve really enjoyed connecting with others and staying engaged with the businesses and people that make our community such a great place." A lifelong resident of Cherokee County, Lindsey and her husband, Steve, are busy raising sons, Beau and Beckett. They enjoy spending time outside and treasuring time together.

She says the word she uses to describe the Chamber is "Camaraderie" and "Personable" describers herself.
