Our next dance is this Saturday, July 15th and we'll be at the Ivy Creek United Methodist Church. Longtime local instructor Kristin Wenger will teach the lesson and be our DJ this month!
SCHEDULE:
7-8 pm: Lesson, West Coast Swing, Beyond the Basics
- Level: Intermediate. This lesson will introduce some intermediate level concepts and a fun pattern for dancers who are already accomplished with their basics. Note, this is not a beginner lesson!
8-11 pm: Dance

In the event of inclement weather and there is a schedule change or cancellation, we will make a post on our public Facebook page (you don't have to have an account) by 2 pm ET the day of the dance.
CSDS Membership
CSDS offers an $15 annual membership fee. Membership dues help to support CSDS and is completely optional for attending our events. Members do get to enjoy discounts to CSDS dances. To become a member or to renew your membership, please visit the CSDS website or take care of this in person at a CSDS dance. If you have any questions regarding the status of your membership, please contact CSDS.

Code of Conduct
CSDS has a Code of Conduct. Attendees are expected to be familiar with and abide by it at all CSDS sponsored events.
SWING SWAP ~ THURSDAYS
CSDS' weekly Thursday Swing Swap continues this month with great tunes to have you groovin', a boomin' sound system and hardwood to get your spin on, all at the MAC (Municipal Arts Center), 7-8:30 pm! Vic Gregor and Ed Tharnish alternate hosting/DJing duties. Come on out and practice, swap ideas and moves, or just dance. We're beginner friendly and practice friendly! Admission is a suggested donation of $3-$5 (cash/check only). Location: 1119 5th St. SW (across 5th Street from Wegman's).
OTHER DANCE OPPORTUNITIES
July 24th: Live at Lake Monticello?! Kyla Miller continues to host free WCS practice sessions on the 2nd and 4th Mondays, the next one is July 24th Practice from 7-8:30 pm in the Terrace room of Lakeside clubhouse. Lesson from 7-7:30 pm (variations of the push, pass, or whip), dancing from 7:30-8:30 pm to beginner friendly music. Dancers are expected to already know their basics (push, pass and whip). If you don't live at Lake Monticello and are interested in attending, please contact Kyla at kyla.bohon@gmail.com.

Volunteers Needed
As you know, CSDS is a volunteer run organization and it takes volunteers to put on our monthly dances and Swing Swap. We could use your help occasionally with setting up and taking down our dance venues, greeting dances at our registration desk and handling refreshments. If you would like to join our volunteer team, please contact any one of our Board members. Thanks!
