We had a great time!
Our conference had 67 register for Assembly. We wish you all were there! 
The theme was "Dream it! Believe it! Do it!" The keynote speakers, Stacey Abrams and her mother, Rev. Carolyn Abrams, retired UMC clergy, were fabulous! They encouraged us to use our faith to embrace peopleship over partisanship, because human need is not political. Rev. Stephanie York Arnold was our Theologian in Residence and delivered messages centered around the theme of abundance and living an abundant life for all. Katie Pryor and Barbara Hill were consecrated as new Deaconesses. There were also dancers, ecumenical women leaders and the music was great with a live band. It was fun to make new friends, see faraway friends and learn new things. There were interactive Town Halls and cutting-edge workshops. Really - we wish YOU were there too! Participating in elections is one simple way to show up for each other. The decisions made in these elections affect the well-being of our neighbors and the strength of our community.

Annual Meeting = the business meeting of a UWFaith Conference or District, held annually with financial and program reports, officer elections and approval of the next year's budget. We held our first HTC Annual Mtg on March 7th in Dallas.

Assembly = the big quadrennial event of UWFaith, bringing women together from around the world! It's happening this weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana. 67 people from our Horizon TX Conference will be there!

Annual Conference = the annual meeting of a regional group (conference) of United Methodist Churches (UMCs). The members are 50% clergy and 50% lay people. AC'26, the Horizon TX Annual Conference will be June 1-3 in Wichita Falls.
