Message from Mayor Jack Tatooles
|
|
Dear Inverness Residents,
In the May 26th Inverness E-Newsletter, I shared some exciting service enhancements that the Village will be implementing. Here are several updates:
-
Installation of License Plate Reader Cameras: The Village Board has approved an initial deployment of 20 Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) cameras in strategic locations and entrances across our community. Thirteen (13) cameras located in Inverness' roadways will be installed within the next 60 days. The remaining cameras are awaiting permit reviews from the Cook County Highway Department or the Illinois Department of Transportation, which may take up to six (6) months. To minimize delays, Village Staff will be working closely with adjacent private owners to secure temporary installation sites while waiting for the government permits.
These service enhancements reflect our commitment to enhancing public safety and providing timely information to our community. We appreciate your continued support as we strive to make Inverness an even safer and more informed place to live.
Jack Tatooles
Mayor

Inverness Wins GFOA Award
|
|
Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to Village of Inverness for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ended April 30, 2022. The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
"I am delighted to announce that the Village has been honored with this prestigious award for the third consecutive year. This remarkable achievement reflects the exceptional dedication and hard work of our Village Board of Trustees and our committed Village Staff, who consistently strive to accurately and comprehensively portray the Village's robust financial standing." stated Mayor Jack Tatooles.
