Greetings!
Entering into this Holy Week, we have an opportunity to reflect on the Paschal Mystery at work in our own lives and in our schools, to meditate on the immense love of God for each one of us, and to renew our commitment to living a life of compassion, mercy, and service to others.
Last week’s act of violence in Nashville has again reminded us of the brokenness and darkness that exist in our world. It has reminded us that we cannot promise with 100 percent certainty that the prospect of such violence will never befall our own community.
During this Holy Week, in the face of this tragedy, we can find comfort in the fact that we serve a God who understands our pain and suffering, who knows what it is like to lose a child, who weeps with us in our sorrow.
As we pray for the victims and their families, we can reflect on how we are contributing to a society that values human life, dignity, and respect for others. We can continue to advocate for laws and policies that promote the common good and protect the vulnerable.
We know that the light of Christ shines in the midst of our suffering, and that through His death and resurrection, He has overcome the power of sin and death. As we journey through this Holy Week, may we be reminded of the hope and promise of the Resurrection, and may we be inspired to be agents of that hope and promise in the world.
With gratitude,
NICHOLAS FORD | Superintendent
