8th Annual PBA Motorcoach Safety & Preparedness Workshop

Dear Members:

Registration is open for the 8th Annual PBA Motorcoach Safety & Preparedness Workshop scheduled for August 11, 2021.

This year's sessions have been designed to address issues that a variety of our motorcoach members are seeking. Motorcoach owners and their key staff will be able to pick and choose which topics are most relevant to their job responsibilities.

Who Should Attend:

The workshop is designed to provide topics and speakers for motorcoach owners, safety personnel, mechanics, and inside office staff. The member price of $35 includes lunch.

Sponsoring Companies:

This session has drawn many of the companies servicing the motorcoach industry. Time will be set aside during lunch to speak with the sponsors who will have table-top displays and manufacturers have been invited to bring a coach. The sponsor price of $125 includes attendance cost, lunch and table.

7:30 AM Registration/Check-In

8:00-8:30 AM Networking, Continental Breakfast

8:30-9:45 AM Welcome and Opening Session

PA FMCSA discusses 18-CARAT & outreach programs, Entry Level Driver Training Requirements, Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse Update.
PA State Police Discusses Out-of-Service Criteria and Roadside Inspections.
SCORE Overview - Small Business Development

9:45-10:00 AM Break to Move into Breakout Sessions

10:00-12:00 PM This segment will be two separate group sessions.

Group 1 Mechanics - Vehicle Inspection (Wolf’s Bus Lines)
Group 2 Other – Busing on the Lookout presentation & Saucon Technology will present "Telematics: Doing More With Less Resources in Your Operation While Maintaining a Solid Safety Record and Culture" (Fire Hall).

12:00-1:30 PM Buffet Lunch, Networking, Visit with Sponsors at their tables and bus manufacturers outside to check out what is new in the coach models. We will also have a classic bus visiting from the Museum of Bus Transportation (Fire Hall).

1:30-1:45 PM Break to Move into Breakout Sessions

1:45-3:30 PM This segment will also be broken into two separate group sessions.

Group 1 Mechanics – Getting Buses Road-Ready! (Wolf’s Bus Lines).
Group 2 Other – The Driving Force (Driver Recruiting & Retaining) (Fire Hall).
