Fuller Craft Museum has a new Executive Director
As of July 1, 2025, Jennifer Chrzanowski is the newly appointed Executive Director at the Fuller Craft Museum. Chrzanowski is a visionary arts professional bringing 20 years of experience to her new role.
"I am truly honored to step into the role of Executive Director at Fuller Craft Museum," said Chrzanowski. "Craft is such a powerful vehicle for storytelling, innovation, and connection. Fuller Craft has long been a champion of these ideas, and I am thrilled to help lead it into its next exciting chapter — deepening its impact, expanding its reach and celebrating the incredible creativity of makers everywhere."
During Chrzanowski’s previous position as Interim Director for the Academy Art Museum in Easton, Maryland, she led a major multi-million-dollar campus expansion project, secured significant funding for the landmark exhibition Bugatti: Reaching for Perfection, and more than doubled exhibition funding through key partnerships, including two major grants from Art Bridges.
Before her time at the Academy Art Museum, Chrzanowski was the Founding Director of DNJ Gallery in Los Angeles, where she curated a variety of exhibitions. She also served as Operations Manager at the Augusta Museum of History, where her creative lens helped reshape programming and fundraising. One standout achievement was Southern Suds, a mission that partnered with a local brewery to revitalize an old beer recipe in the museum’s collection. This project blended storytelling, craft, and community while generating revenue.
Jennifer Chrzanowski holds a BFA in film, photography, and electronic media from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is completing a master’s degree in photography from Columbia College Chicago. Luiza De Camargo and Joyce Linehan, members of the Board of Directors at Fuller Craft Museum who co-led the search committee, stated “We are excited about the future of Fuller Craft Museum under Jenn’s leadership. Throughout the interview process, it became clear she has a deep understanding of museums and their roles in their communities, and she will bring energy, empathy, and experience to the role.”

Climate Can-Do:
Rainwater Harvesting
Looking for more ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle? Introducing rainwater harvesting; a new kind of recycling!
Harvesting rainwater is exactly what it sounds like; rain is collected from buckets, barrels, rooftops, or any other sealed surface for a multitude of purposes. These applications include watering gardens, flushing toilets, washing clothes and cars!
Basic systems for rainwater collection use barrels or buckets to collect rain from either the sky or a downspout from a rain gutter. Rainwater harvesting is rather easy to start doing! Set out a few buckets or barrels the day before a big storm.
Do not drink from a rainbarrel! The water can be boiled to kill any harmful bacteria, but rainwater can hold chemicals, pollutants, and heavy metals that it has collected from its time in our atmosphere. Unless you first boil the water and then use a filtration system that can remove chemical debris/metal sediment, it is not recommended to drink rainwater.
However, it is good for watering gardens, flushing toilets, and washing clothes and cars!
This simple activity helps our planet by both conserving clean faucet water as well as reducing runoff pollution created when rainwater runs down our streets.
Added bonus: it just might save you a few bucks on your water bill! Enjoy your week, and remember, when it starts raining, you can start saving!

Friday's festivities included a magic show, petting zoo, and artists and performers like Dana Mallory, Fish & Bone, and Champ Fest, a shared stage of up-coming music performers. For Saturday's events, there were pony rides, farm animals, learn to fish, and performances by Rose Conservatory and Bailey Street Brass to name a few. Throughout the entire celebration, vendors of all kinds sold their products. Food vendors were: Sweet 16 Ice Cream, Delicious Caribbean cuisine from Jeano's kitchen, Deag's Dinner, and Vineyard Farms. This is Life.
Let's try not to get bogged down.
Sometimes it's our own health or a loved ones. Sometimes it's local, national, or international news; or sometimes it's that darned loneliness, absolutely rampant in our digital society... and don't even get me started on money issues!
There's all sorts of reasons to have a difficult day. So I look, and every solution I find; every psychologist, every study, and every social scientist names the same steps. Eat healthy foods, exercise, and be social. We each need to be part of a group bigger than ourselves.
And that's why we publish the BuzzAround, folks. That's exactly why. (836 weeks and counting : )
Here, right in our neighborhoods. Here is the answer. We can work on projects together, we can listen to each other, go for walks, play cards or just sit together and we can make life better. Not only is community the solution to problems... it is also the stepping stone to longevity.
|
That's honestly all it takes. So let's make life better together. Who did you connect with today?
~ Jacquie
