Many of you will remember our granddaughter, Betsy, who worked with us during covid. She grabbed our hearts with her zest for living, her incredible talent, the beautiful music she made and her sweet, kind soul.
Betsy is marrying Tom Jakobs this weekend and that is why we are closing on Saturday, October 3rd. Family wedding and we will take lots of photos!
We want to share this lovely video of the Opera Singing Chef, Elizabeth Podsiadlo, and her daughter Betsy Podsiadlo as they prepare Coq au vin to a duet they sing together from the Tales of Hoffman called the Barcarolle. Recorded during covid, this video project was created as a way to capture and remember this beautiful, but difficult year, where daughter was forced to live with her mom in a little mountain town (Romney) giving them a chance to know each other better and to create beautiful music and food together. This video was filmed by Michael Anderson.
