ORC Mom of two races with El Savadore next week
|
|
In early 2019, after having their youngest child, Anne-Andrée (Drée to friends) returned to Cycling and Cross-Country skiing. Then, of course, she and her Olympic rowing husband, Rodrigo, had to buy an erg for maternity leave fun!
During the pandemic, Drée seized the opportunity to train, completing workouts before the kids would wake up. The real challenge was the rest of the day - coordinating working from home and entertaining a 2 and 4 year old! Thank goodness Rodrigo was around to make things work.
From 2011 to 2013, Drée competed with the National Rowing Team of El Salvador. This past fall she joined their training program at a distance, and is currently on route to their training camp on April 2nd, and will race at a regatta on April 9th and 10th at the Central American Cup at Lake Ilopango, a former volcano crater!
We look forward to your family’s continued success at the Ottawa Rowing Club Drée, and best wishes racing in April! Send us photos!
