Dear Associational member,

The Baptist Children’s Home of North Carolina appreciates all of your support. Our staff is excited about what GOD has planned for the future. We would love to share what is taking place in the Foster Care world of the Baptist Children’s Home. Staff will provide the necessary 30 hours of training to equip potential foster parents with the tools to be successful as foster parents. The main qualification is that interested individuals have a heart for children and a

desire to serve. If anyone has ever considered becoming a foster parent and wants to learn more of what we do and how they can serve, please let us know. Our staff is available for informational sessions and would be willing to meet you where you are located for a presentation. As we have been taught from an early age, Mark 12:30-31, Jesus is very specific in his instructions. We, like you, just want to be the hands and feet of Jesus. With our supportive staff surrounding you through the process of becoming and being foster parents, we see the picture of James 1:27 play out. Please Call or email if you would like to plan an informational session. The presentation would last approximately an hour and then we would open the floor to questions and answers. We look forward to hearing from you very soon.

Thanks in advance for your interest.

Yours in Christ,

Baptist On Mission is Hosting Upside Down Training

On Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at the Baptists On Mission Office (205 Convention Dr, Cary, NC 27511).

Basic Principles for Every Church to Strengthen Ministry in Their Community.

We are convinced that YOUR church can turn your community Upside Down by applying Jesus' example. So often, Christians think “church” first, but Jesus taught another way. He started with ministry, meeting needs first. His ministry grew people’s faith, and then He built the church on that faith. Upside Down: Meet the Need First shares principles for applying Jesus’s example and turning the world upside down. Taught by trainers who cumulatively have over 100 years experience with under-resourced communities (and every community is under-resourced in some way) - Taylor Field, Susan Field, Paul Langston

Schedule:

9 to 9:45 am Intro and Meet the Need First

10 to 10:45 am Serve the Unserved

11:00 to 11:45 See the Unseen

11:45 to 12:30 pm Lunch

12:30 to 1:10 pm Small Is Big

1:20 to 2 pm Admin, Admin, Admin and giving of certificate

Cost is $15 per person (includes lunch)

Dear Caldwell County Baptist Association Community,

I am proud to support Kairos Prison Ministry of Western North Carolina by participating in the Distance for Deliverance Walkathon to raise funds for our upcoming Weekends, Continuing Ministry, and general operations. As you may know Kairos Prison Ministry serves those impacted by incarceration, whether they are men, women, or youth, and whether they are locked up or have a loved one who is impacted by the incarcerated. This ministry is especially close to my heart, and I am excited to be walking for Kairos during the Distance for Deliverance Walkathon taking place on June 7th, 2025 at the Granite Falls Rec. Center walking park time 10am to 1pm. We will have a tent set up so you can get more information about Kairos. Ask any questions on how you can volunteer or how you can come as a guest to one of our weekends.

I am asking for your support in a donation of $20.00 to help me reach my goal of $5000.00. By supporting me, whether it is $20.00 or any amount, I assure you that every dollar raised during this campaign will be used to bring the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to those impacted by incarceration. This ministry really does transform lives in the most literal sense. Whether you donate $5 or $5,000, every little bit helps, and it will all be used to make an immediate positive impact on our community.

Thank you for your prayers and support,

Dean and Cindy Starnes
