Happy Father's Day!
I know many of you are racking your brains trying to figure out what to do for your Father to recognize him on the day!
I spent years doing the same. My Father didn't NEED anything I could give him. But he loved this Museum. He wore almost every hat at this Museum over the almost eight decades he was a member. So several years ago I became a member as my Father's Day Gift to him.
Why was that a gift for my Father? Because my interest and support of the Museum gave us a common interest and it gave him hope for the future of the Museum he loved. I lost may Father almost two years ago, but I retain my membership and my interest in the future of the Museum.
Would you ask your children to join us as your Father's Day gift? Or would you do this little thing for your Father?
My first visit to the Trolley Museum was in 1960. I have seen her through many changes and many trials. I am very proud of how those in charge (which has included both of my parents being on the Board at various times) have grown the Community involvement and the exciting collaborations with local studies of Osprey and Tidal Estuaries. Joining our Museum with the community is an exciting step forward to longevity as a Museum from our beginnings as a boys trolley club. Those "boys" saved the Trolleys for us to preserve. Please help us honor their efforts this Father's Day with a Museum membership.
Also come take a ride if you can, to see how much there really is going on here! It's still a great ride through the Salt Marsh on a rolling, working piece of history!
