A Message from Dr. Scott

Dear Archway Trivium Families,

Today was our annual Literary and Historical Figure Day. This is one of the great days of our school year, when our scholars can celebrate the great lessons from their literature and history classes. Our leadership team selected the reign of the Tudors as our theme, and I took the part of King Henry VIII. To be clear, Henry VIII was, in many ways, a despicable human being. He is well known for his libertine ways, but he was also quick to imprison, and even execute political opponents. History is not always good or beautiful, but it is true. It happened, and because it happened, we are connected to it. Like ourselves, our history is both good and bad. Thus, it behooves us to look on history in search of truth without judgement. Furthermore, we cannot learn truth if look at our past through a sterilized or sensationalized lens. Any distortion will impede our ability to improve. Rather than attempting to tie up historical narratives with little bows by finding “the moral of the story,” we can simply appreciate what is. Seeing things as they are allows us to more fully make meaning of the world. I hope your children enjoyed this day as much as I did.

Have a great weekend!

Clay Scott, Ed. D.

Headmaster, Archway Trivium

Pledge Leaders: Rosalie B., Caleesi M., Braylen M., Megan S., Naomi G.

Family Giving

We invite you to join us in celebrating our academy on December 3 for #GivingTuesday. This day of giving was created to focus on doing good for the community after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday.

This education relies upon parent partnership. Thank you to our parents who already support our classrooms through Community Investment. On #GivingTuesday, our intent is to fulfill our Community Investment goal and raise $20,000. If we hit our goal, there will be popcorn for every student. Please consider making a gift meaningful to your family to help us fully fund our classrooms for the year. You can give by clicking here or by connecting with Aydin Martin, our Family Giving and Community Engagement Officer.

Warmly,

Aydin Martin

Family Giving & Community Engagement Officer

Communication Updates

Latest News image.png

School Messenger Communication

Great Hearts and Archway Trivium continue to utilize the system School Messenger for emails, robo-calls, and text messaging to inform families of campus related academy emergencies and other communications. SchoolMessenger has a new automatic opt-in for text feature. During the registration/re-enrollment process families confirmed their wish to participate in text communications. Great Hearts will now automatically opt in contact information given during the registration/re-enrollment process with the options you selected. You will notice at the beginning of July you will be opted in for text messaging. If you would like to opt out of text messages simply reply STOP to the text from 67585. You can also enter the code 67585 with the message STOP to block any text messaging. Please note, if opting out, you will not receive texts regarding emergencies on campus.

Email Communications

If you know of parents who are not receiving these communications, please ask them to check their junk/promotions email folders, and then email bmcdonald@archwaytrivium.org for assistance.

You can also find ALL school-wide communications on our website on the Latest News page.
