Good Morning Folks,

The summer goes by so fast. Our Annual Bowling Bash signals the end, with Labor Day sealing the deal on September 7th, book-ending the romantic season of youthful dreams.

Great Balls of Rolling

Bowlers and spectators of 120 sold out Fantasy Springs Bowling Center! There were 5 Winning Teams: 1st Place went to team "Hot Purple Balls," i.e. Hot Purple Energy, 2nd Place went to team "Chuck Ballas," i.e. Friends of the Desert Mountains, 3rd Place went to team "Solar Strikers," i.e. Planet Solar, and Last Place went to "The Loan Rangers," i.e. California Bank & Trust. California Bank & Trust also won Best Team Name!

Thanks go to the management team at Fantasy Springs Bowling Center, Juan, Jose, and Nellie, and their entire staff. They did an amazing job in managing the entire event! Also, a special thank you to Karen Jaffie with The Friends of the Desert Mountains, who did a great job announcing our winners, participants, and Fantasy Springs Bowling Center.

Deficit Danger

While the US debt just crossed the $40 trillion mark, what matters much more is debt held by the public, and it’s “only” $32.3 trillion. The difference is intragovernmental debt. But even that number needs context. The critical number: the debt-to-GDP ratio, which, with 26Q2 GDP at roughly $32.5 trillion, is about 100%, near levels last seen just after WWII. The real problem; the staggeringly large 6% annual deficit.
