Holiday Hope: Encouragement and Resources for December

As the holiday season approaches, we’re reminded that life’s most precious gifts aren’t wrapped in paper—they’re found in love, laughter, and new beginnings. Whether you’re preparing for your baby’s arrival or celebrating your little one’s first Christmas, this is a perfect time to pause, breathe, and appreciate the ways life grows and changes.

Motherhood brings joy, wonder, and sometimes uncertainty. Remember: you are strong, capable, and deeply loved. SMPC can provide you support every step of the way.

Highlight Feature

Nurses’ Corner: Practical Tips for Expectant Moms

This month’s Highlight Feature shares tips from two SMPC’s nurses. Their insights are gentle reminders that even small steps can make a big difference during pregnancy.

From Nurse Claire:

“Stay well hydrated and eat a balanced diet, and use your prenatal vitamins as a supplement—not a replacement—for healthy nutrition.”

From Nurse Kaisha:

“Give yourself permission to rest. Your body is working hard, and taking short breaks throughout the day can help you stay energized and reduce stress.”

We hope these insights bring you comfort and confidence as you continue your journey into motherhood.

Tell Your Friends

Sharing Is Caring!

“SMPC has been one of the best experiences for our family. My husband and I came in together for our first appointment, and he left with a Bible and a Dad Life mug—it was so special to see him light up. With our extended families living out of town, it’s been wonderful to find a sense of community close by. The Center has been incredibly encouraging, and I’m excited to see what else is in store.” Hannah, SMPC Client

There is no better referral than a referral from a friend. Know a friend who is expecting? Share SMPC with them. The Center’s cost-free services are open to all expectant mothers.

A Word of Hope

A word of hope for you this holiday season comes from James 1:17:

“Every good and perfect gift is from above.”

As this year comes to a close, take a moment to notice the small blessings around you — a soft baby giggle, a quiet morning, a warm hug.

You are part of something beautiful, and you bring light to those around you just by being who you are.

From all of us at SMPC, we wish you peace, joy, and hope this Christmas and in the new year ahead.
