Ch 42 Technical Amendments effective June 10

City Council approved amendments to Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances, the City’s standards for subdivision platting, on May 18, 2022. The effective date is June 10.

The amendments eliminate inconsistencies, clarify and codify certain requirements and policies, simplify the notification area, and provide additional time for notice to make the subdivision platting process more efficient. Notable changes include:

1) 300' radius notice area for all public hearing, variances and special exceptions;

2) 20 days of advance notice, now consistent between various types of applications;

3) Naming variances for public hearing subdivision applications are no longer required.
