Britta and Chad Ruoff of Sincuidados hired a horse and carriage for a family ride through the community.

"What a delight!," Britta said. "The experience is still surreal in the eyes of the kids."

The kids made Christmas treats and dropped them off at neighbors' homes.

"They all commented on the delight it brought to see the family so happy and the experience it brought to the neighborhood," Britta said. "We have 'stop' requests already for next year."
