FPL Utility Undergrounding Project

Project Overview

Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) has initiated a utility undergrounding project at 2400 Pine Tree Drive to strengthen the electric infrastructure and enhance service reliability. The project involves installing underground power lines and related equipment, aiming to improve both safety and efficiency in the area.


Residents within the designated area should have previously received a letter from FPL providing details on this project.


FPL will make reasonable efforts to minimize construction-related noise and any other inconveniences to you and your neighbors. They do not anticipate any service interruptions as a result of this project.


Schedule

Work will take place in the evenings, Sunday through Thursday, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. The project is expected to take approximately two weeks, with completion scheduled for Sunday, May 13.


This schedule may change due to weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.


What to Expect

  • Moderate levels of construction noise will be present in the work area.
  • Construction equipment, vehicles and personnel will be on-site.
  • Traffic patterns will be reconfigured throughout the project. Please follow posted signage and directions from flaggers.
  • Access to properties will be maintained at all times.
