Exciting Announcement from ASID

GATHER 2022 - The National Conference by ASID 

September 21-24, 2022

We’re excited to announce an incredibly special opportunity for all interior designers, industry partners, students, and allied professionals to come together in 2022! The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) will host a return to in-person programming with the first national conference for interior design in over a decade!

Mark your calendars — GATHER 2022, the National Conference by ASID will take place September 21-24, 2022 at the InterContinental Miami Hotel.

ASID is honored to offer the space and time for us to learn from one another again and build our community. In addition to creating a space for all interior designers and anyone allied to the community to network and socialize in person, #GATHER2022 will be the only national conference bringing together residential and commercial designers. Attendees will experience the latest innovations and product offerings from manufacturers and suppliers from all industries in interior design.  

Together, we will explore substantive topics impacting the interior design profession in all sectors at all career stages, including the changing work environment, adaptive and multi-generational living, and leading through challenging times. These topics will guide conversations among designers, students, business leaders, educators, and other visionaries from around the country. We will be sharing more soon about all the exciting programs and experiences to come.

We are excited to announce that the Emerging Professionals Design Competition, sponsored by Dunn-Edwards Paints, is now accepting submissions! This design competition is open to all eligible students nationwide. With beginner and advanced levels in both residential and commercial design categories plus an Early Bird Sweepstakes for those who submit early, there are various prizes up for grabs. Submissions are due by August 7^th, or to be an Early Bird, submit by June 19^th.

The design competition landing page has more details and submission instructions. Specific category information per level can be found in the Project Brief, which is accessible through the landing page as well. Attached to this email is a flyer to be printed or sent digitally to students and chapter members who teach or have student interns. Also attached is a social media image for your use.

The Emerging Professionals Program ‘EPP’, by Dunn-Edwards, focuses on students - the next generation of architects and designers. Our goal is to provide beneficial education that can be applied to future careers, as well as valuable resources, even beyond the competition. If you are interested in receiving a class presentation (virtual or in-person) on paint science 101, color selection, architectural styles, etc., email EmergingProfessionalsProgram@DunnEdwards.com to schedule. We also provide in-person or virtual CEUs to professionals.
