$14,300 in Matching Funds Left — Our Students Still Need You.

Dear JWOC,

We’re incredibly thankful to the five generous sponsors who have already committed to supporting our students in this year’s campaign. Their belief in our youth is powerful — and deeply appreciated.

But many bright, determined young people are still waiting for someone to stand by their side.

Thanks to a generous donor, we still have $14,300 in matching funds available from a total of $25,000. That means every dollar you give today will be doubled — going twice as far to fund scholarships, mentorship, and life-changing training for students in need.

We understand this is a challenging time. With so much uncertainty in the world, decisions around giving aren’t easy. But it’s during times like these that your support matters most.

Because when you invest in one student, the ripple effect doesn’t stop there — it reaches families, communities, and future generations.

Sponsoring options

We would be honored to have you join us as a JWOC sponsor. You can choose from the following flexible payment options:

JWOC full scholarship & enhancement support $1500/year: This complete scholarship package enables one student to go to university by covering their tuition fees and textbooks for one year. JWOC provides enhanced programming covering English proficiency, computer literacy, life skills, career guidance and youth leadership. Donors are requested to continue to sponsor their student’s education annually through the completion of their university program.

JWOC half & enhancement support $750/year: Your gift will be paired with another donor to provide a full scholarship for one student for one year. After the annual recruitment and selection process you and your paired donor will be introduced to your student, learn about their background and receive periodic updates throughout their university education. Donors are requested to continue to sponsor their student’s education annually through the completion of their university program.

Monthly Donation Support - $125/month: By choosing this option, sponsors can contribute $125 each month as a recurring donation to provide a full scholarship for one student for an entire year. Sponsors are kindly requested to continue their support throughout the student’s university journey, which typically spans four consecutive years. This flexible giving plan allows donors to make a meaningful impact without requiring a large one-time payment. Each month, sponsors will receive a tax receipt and be part of changing a young person’s life through education.

Quarter one update: First-Ever Better Futures Alumni Gathering!

On April 27, 2025, we hosted our very first Better Futures Program Alumni Gathering a beautiful day filled with reconnection, reflection, and renewed inspiration. Alumni from across the years came together to share stories, celebrate their journeys, and spark new ideas for community impact. It was a powerful reminder of the lifelong connections and leadership that grow from the Program.

A New Chapter Begins: JWOC’s Inspiring Hub

We’re thrilled to share the launch of our new JWOC inspiring Hub a dynamic and welcoming space created to support students and alumni as they connect, collaborate, and grow. The Hub features a refreshed library with valuable learning resources, flexible workspaces that encourage group learning and creativity, and a dedicated alumni showcase celebrating the powerful journeys of our graduates.
