Friday, July 04, 2025 — Brother Andy Valentine of TWU Local 100 — New York City's transportation union — has been wrongfully terminated, and RWU is calling on its members, friends, and supporters to stand in solidarity with him.

Even though the National Transportation Safety Board found that Andy was not at fault and acted heroically during a 2024 subway crash, an arbitrator refused to consider the NTSB report and upheld his firing.

The deadline to file an appeal is coming up soon.

The above logo is credited to the "All Out For Andy!" Facebook group. The group is not sponsored by RWU, but by the Ad Hoc Committee to Reinstate T/O Valentine. Follow them on Facebook by clicking the logo or visiting the group here.

The first step is reading about his case, and chipping in so he can file an appeal. If you would like to work with a committee on his campaign once the appeal has been filed, reach out to our organizer, Keegan Waller, at rwu.organizer@gmail.com.

You can read more about his story, the NTSB report, and donate to his legal defense fund on GoFundMe.
