Sent and Shaped: A New Season for St. Luke’s

Dear St. Lukers,

This past Sunday was a meaningful moment in the life of our church. It felt like a time of both reflection and anticipation, as we considered who we are and whom God is calling us to become together. I want to briefly share what was announced in worship regarding our pastoral leadership.

I am grateful to continue serving alongside Pastor Melissa and look forward to starting a full appointment year together.

As previously announced, Pastor Jad has been appointed as Senior Pastor of Christ Church in Fort Lauderdale. While this brings change, it is also a moment of deep gratitude. For 14 years, Jad has served faithfully among us (we will celebrate when he returns in June), and we trust that God is guiding him and Shelly into this next chapter.

I am also excited to share that Rev. Jayde Rasband has been appointed to join our pastoral team as an Associate Pastor. She brings a strong sense of calling, a deep love for the Church, and a joyful spirit. After my first conversation with her, I was genuinely filled with joy at the possibility of her joining our staff and congregation. She is being sent to us because of her giftedness, experience, and passion for ministry (watch Pastor Jayde's video here!)...

Friends, Food, and Fellowship

A group of 60 men gathered with St. Luke's Men's Ministry this month for a morning of good food, meaningful conversation, and time in prayer and connection.

Our guest speaker, fellow St. Luker Fabian Lazarte, shared his faith journey, including the questions he’s wrestled with and how his faith has been strengthened through relationships at St. Luke’s. His story invited reflection on how God is shaping us and the characteristics of Christ we want to grow in.

Fueled by Fun (and Junk Food)!

Our Youth Ministry Lock-In was a blast from start to finish (and well past bedtime)! Students and leaders spent the night laughing, hanging out, and making great memories together. A highlight was the trip to Andretti's in Orlando for go-karts, arcade games, trivia, and plenty of junk food. No sleep, lots of fun, and a night no one will forget!

Grilling Up a Great Day

Our 50 North Ministry had a fantastic time at their 4th Annual Cookout this week! They enjoyed delicious grilled favorites, along with plenty of great fellowship together. A big thank you to our chef, Steve Smith, and to everyone who helped make it possible!
