EDOLA Launches Podcast

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of EDOLA’s new podcast!

Our first offering is a five-part series titled With God’s Help: Faith-filled Conversations in Uncertain Times, hosted by Bishop Duckworth. In each episode, Bishop Duckworth is joined by a special guest to explore one of the core questions of the Baptismal Covenant. Together, they reflect on how these sacred promises can help us navigate today’s complex world, offering thoughtful and practical insights on speaking the truth in love, pursuing justice, and remaining grounded in faith.

Each episode begins as a live Zoom conversation, and is then made available as both a podcast and a YouTube video.

And this is just the beginning! Stay tuned for a special podcast release this August as we reflect on the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.

Anna's Place NOLA Continues to Make a Vital Impact

Since 2010, Anna’s Place NOLA, a year-round youth education and mentorship program of St. Anna’s Episcopal Church, has empowered over 1,000 young people in the historic Tremé neighborhood. With a “whole child” approach, the program works to break the cycles of poverty and violence that disproportionately impact New Orleans youth.

Through consistent mentorship, interdisciplinary academic support, and enriching cultural experiences, Anna’s Place NOLA nurtures resilient, confident, and capable young leaders.

Right now, Anna’s Place NOLA is launching a critical fundraising campaign. The need is urgent. Sustained funding is essential to ensure this life-changing work not only continues but grows to meet the rising demand.

To help spread the word and deepen community support, Anna’s Place NOLA has created a new brochure that shares the impact of their work, their inspiring results, and how you can be part of the change.

Financial support is essential to sustain the transformative work of Anna’s Place NOLA, creating a vibrant, hope-filled community where every child can thrive.

Please consider donating to this important ministry:

  • BY CHECK, payable to St. Anna’s Episcopal Church, designating Anna’s Place NOLA

  • Or email rector@stanna.org to talk about tax efficient giving strategies with a member of the fundraising committee

Paula D'Arcy is a retreat leader and speaker, the author of 12 books, including, Gift of the Red Bird, Waking Up to This Day, Stars at Night and Winter of the Heart.

In 1975 Paula D’Arcy’s husband and daughter were killed in a drunken driving accident. She was twenty-seven years old and three months pregnant, yet survived. Six months later she gave birth to her second daughter, Beth, and began the long process of healing. Since that time, she has authored many books, worked as a therapist in private practice, and established a retreat and speaking ministry. Paula’s ministry is to serve the very movement of love that changed her own destiny. Her guiding focus is embedded in an intention to assist others in the opening of the heart and awakening to a greater love.
