Holy Name Parish School is excited to welcome back its basketball program for the 2024/2025 season!

The intent of this program is for kids to have as much fun as possible while learning the basic fundamentals of individual and team play. The program also teaches the kids about pride in their school as they proudly wear their uniforms to play other Catholic schools like St. Theresa's and Mount Alvernia Academy.

All students in grades 1 -6 are eligible to play with teams broken into three divisions:

1. 1/2 grade team - Coed - Red Team and Blue Team
2. 3/4 grade team - Coed - Only can support 1 team this year - limit of 20 players
3. 5/6 grade team - Separate Boys Team and Girls Team

We have enough coaches to support almost every level, 1/2 and 5/6 teams are covered. However, we will have to limit player registrations for the 3/4 team to the first 20 players o a first-come, first-serve basis. Linked Here is the Coaching Sign-Up Form, especially if you're interested in helping with 3/4.

Practice will be one night per week on Thursday or Friday with games on Saturday and/or Sunday with an occasional Friday night game mixed in. The practice schedule will be determined at the coach's meeting and shared with families in November.

At this time, the other participating schools are all still finalizing their programs and registrations so there is no confirmed number of games yet.

Practices will likely begin the week after Thanksgiving with more details to follow over the next few weeks. The season will continue through the beginning of March.

Registration is now open through Friday, November 1st.

Notice: Deadline for registration is Friday, 11/1. Late registrations will be handled on a case-by-case basis pending availability. In the rare exception that we do allow players to register late, you may not receive a uniform.

We need to finalize list for uniforms so we will have our uniforms before the first game, most likely on Saturday, December 21st. This game does fall over the start of Christmas break so if there are too many conflicts for everyone, we can just push the start of the season out to the New Year.
