TONIGHT! Nashville Jewish Book Series
Our final two events of the season!
TONIGHT! Bess Kalb | April 13, 7pm
Nobody Will Tell You This But Me
Moderated by Freya Sachs Nashville-based writer and educator. Freya teaches high school English at University School of Nashville, where she serves as chair of the English department.
Bess Kalb, Emmy-nominated TV writer and New Yorker contributor, saved every voicemail her grandmother Bobby Bell ever left her. Bobby was a force--irrepressible, glamorous, unapologetically opinionated. Bobby doted on Bess; Bess adored Bobby. Then, at ninety, Bobby died. But in this debut memoir, Bobby is speaking to Bess once more, in a voice as passionate as it ever was in life.

Michael Ian Black | April 22, 7pm
A Better Man: A (Mostly Serious) Letter to my Son
Moderated by Evan Nahmias, Nashville attorney
In a world in which the word masculinity now often goes hand in hand with toxic, comedian, actor, and father Michael Ian Black offers up a way forward for boys, men, and anyone who loves them.
