Hi Friends!

Holy Week is on the horizon and I hope you have all had a reflective and meaningful Lent. Sunday nights in The Attic during Lent have been full of different experiences that have allowed us to learn to pray in different ways. Through prayer stations, meditation, art, walking the labyrinth, and baking--we have all developed new prayer practices that we will carry with us beyond this Lenten season!

I hope you will all join us at All Saints' throughout Holy Week and on Easter Sunday as we walk through the last days of Jesus and his rising again!

Maundy Thursday – Thursday, April 6

On this day, we observe Jesus' mandate (from which Maundy Thursday takes its name) "That you love one another, as I have loved you." At 5:30 p.m., we share a potluck meal, participate in foot washing, and celebrate the Lord's supper.

  • 5:30 p.m. - Agape Dinner with Holy Eucharist and Foot Washing (Ellis Hall)
  • 7:30 p.m. - Holy Eucharist with Adult Choir (Church)

Good Friday – Friday, April 7

We follow in the way of the cross (Via Crucis), contemplating the meaning of grace in our lives. Then we collaborate with neighborhood churches to pray the stations of the cross across midtown Atlanta.

  • 12:00 p.m. - Liturgy for Good Friday (church)
  • 1:30 p.m. - Midtown Stations of the Cross (Meet in the All Saints' church)

Easter Day – Sunday, April 9

Alleluia! Christ is risen! Join us for the principal feast of the Christian year, with Holy Eucharist, soaring music including timpani and brass, stunning flowers, and our full community gathered together.

  • 6:00 a.m. - Easter Vigil in the Chapel
  • 8:00 a.m. - Holy Eucharist Rite I in the Chapel
  • 9:00 a.m. - Festival Holy Eucharist with Children's Choirs (Ellis Hall)
  • 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. - Festival Holy Eucharist with Adult Choirs (Church)
  • 5:30 p.m. - Holy Eucharist Rite II in the Chapel

Peace,

Hope

7th Grade Rite 13 Rehearsal and Ceremony

Please Save The Date for our 7th Grade Rite 13 ceremony on May 21st at the 9am service. Please also save the date for May 20th for our Rite 13 Rehearsal and Rehearsal Dinner in Ellis Hall at 5pm.

Your family is invited to join us as we celebrate your 7th grader and this milestone in the church. On May 20th, we will enjoy a seated dinner together where we will honor your child and parents will have the opportunity to toast to your child. We are asking each family to provide a ~100 word biography about your child as well as a photo. You can submit both of these using the link below.

If you haven’t been able to make it to many, or any, of our formation classes–that is okay! We still want your 7th grader to participate and your family to be there!

Please RSVP for the rehearsal dinner using the link below.

We can’t wait to celebrate our seventh graders and this milestone for them in the church!

This week will be full of service, building relationship, and fun!

The trip is described by Youth Mission Co. as:

"Located in the mountains of North Carolina, Asheville Youth Mission gives young people an opportunity to explore the hidden needs and struggles of those who are living on the margins within and around a beautiful tourist town. Groups will work with a variety of agencies working with those who are homeless, in poverty, or food insecure, both in urban and rural settings."
