It’s a Bumpy and Hilarious Ride to the Ball

In Cinderella: A Pantomime, playwright Norman Robbins has turned this much-loved fairy tale on its ear — and the results are delightfully hilarious. The whole family will enjoy this clever retelling, which features musical numbers, cross-dressing, unexpected and surprising twists and, of course, a happily ever after .

Special note: Our Saturday, December 14 performance is the special Toys for Tots performance and the price of admission for a child is a new and unwrapped toy.

Come and be transported into a whole new world as the New Canaan Nature Center transforms into a Winter Wonderland filled with fun and exciting seasonal activities for the entire family. Festivities include visits with Santa (from 11:30am-2pm), horse-drawn wagon rides ($5/person), holiday trains, campfire with chestnuts & marshmallow roasting, our annual gingerbread house creation contest, caroling with the Bojanglers of CT, and so much more!

The holiday season is upon us. Along with the happy times and gatherings comes a unique set of challenges – both physical and emotional ones. New Canaan Library welcomes back nutritionist/dietician Jay Wolkoff, who will discuss how integrative and natural strategies can boost immunities and calm emotions, resulting in happier holidays and less stress.

Jay Wolkoff will discuss using foods, herbs, and lifestyle strategies to cope with emotional stress, support healthy digestion, keep our immune systems resilient and our bodies feeling warm.

Celebrating our 7th year, the New Canaan Santa Run was created to inspire families and friends to enjoy a break from holiday busyness with a fun run/walk to support a community organization at Christmastime.

This year proceeds will benefit FILLING IN THE BLANKS, whose mission it is to fight childhood hunger by providing children in need with meals on the weekends.
