Joining In
The Rev. Dr. Bill Murray
I am writing you all on Wednesday afternoon. I have had the joy and delight of helping teach our Vacation Bible School the last two days. I am sure that many of you know that it is going on. You may not realize how incredibly successful it has become.
Renee has organized and gathered up 91 children to come to the program. These are children between 4 years old and 5th grade. 91 children in that wonderful phase of life where they want to learn and sing and dance with God. Megan has then worked to train and bring together over 50 youth volunteers. These are youth that are 6-12th grades. Together we have over 140 children and youth under the age of 18 combined with another 20 adults working together to learn about God and each other.
I do not know exactly what heaven will look like, but I have to imagine it is something similar to this joyful chaos: folks coming and going and trying and working and singing and praying and learning about God. It is not perfect and can certainly be tiring. It is also inspiring to see how our community can work together towards a common, shared goal of teaching our faith to our youngest members.
I hope you can join us this Sunday. We have invited all the folks who have helped with VBS to join us for the service, to sing some of the songs from the week, and to break bread at a BBQ lunch. It is a great way to meet some possible new families and just to be part of God's kingdom. Hope to see you all as we celebrate this great ministry together!

Summer Forum Series: The Bible With and Without Jesus
June 7 - July 19, 9:00 AM
Join us this summer for a thought-provoking study of The Bible With and Without Jesus by Amy-Jill Levine and Marc Zvi Brettler. Together, we will explore familiar passages from the Hebrew Bible and discover how Jews and Christians have interpreted these texts across the centuries.
Through discussion, prayer, and reflection, we will examine stories and themes such as creation, Adam and Eve, Jonah, Isaiah’s Suffering Servant, and Psalm 22, while deepening our understanding of Scripture’s history, meaning, and relevance for today.
Whether you are new to Bible study or a lifelong learner, all are welcome as we encounter Scripture in fresh and enriching ways. Join us for coffee and conversation each Sunday in Inglett Hall.

In this deeply personal body of work, Morgan reflects on her journey after being diagnosed with a rare small-cell carcinoma of the cervix at age twenty-six and being told she would not survive. Twenty years later, her vibrant floral paintings stand as a celebration of resilience, gratitude, and life reclaimed. Set against dramatic black backgrounds, each bloom represents a year lived, fought for, and celebrated.
