Three in May!

Only one month to go!

We spent time with Tate Wheeler, owner of Title Boxing Lakeville and leadership coach. Tate talked with us about the Champion Mindset. There were a lot of nuggets in Tate’s talk but some of the favorites were – using GET TO instead of HAVE TO, and being conscious to be present where your feet are.

I cannot believe we just held our second to last Leadership Lakeville session of this year. And last week did not disappoint. We spent our time at City Hall – right in the Council Chambers! Thank you to Rudy's Redeye Grill for the lunch to kick off our session!

After our time with Tate, Economic Development Manager, Kati Bachmayer, gave the class a little tour of City Hall. Back in the Chambers, City Administrator Justin Miller gave the group a short presentation on how the City creates their budget. We followed that with some Q&A with our City Council and short overviews of each City commission, with the Commission chairs. It was as full of an afternoon as it sounds! Next month we conclude with a bus tour of the City and our graduation program.

We are sad to see this year wind down, it has been so much fun. The silver lining is that we are already working on the program for the 2025-26 cohort and we are very excited to share that with you in May. Applications will open in May and will close June 30 – get ready!

Thank you for your membership!
