Miami-Dade County Amends
Countywide Curfew Order
Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez, had previously issued Emergency Order 27-20 imposing a countywide curfew from 10 pm to 6 am daily. The order did not apply to persons:

  • working at essential establishments
  • returning from or going to work
  • making deliveries
  • walking their dogs 250 ft from their homes

Effective September 10, 2020, Amendment 1 to Emergency Order 27-20 has been issued to also exempt the following:

  • persons traveling to and from any sporting event sponsored by the NCAA, Major League Baseball, or the National Football League, or any other national professional sports league or organization
  • persons traveling to or from any religious activity

The curfew hours have not changed and the curfew applies to all municipalities in Miami-Dade County, including the Village of Palmetto Bay. Stay tuned for any future updates from Miami-Dade County affecting our Village.
