There was a Special Called Meeting of the Emanuel's Congregation Council on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. online via Zoom.
While considering recommendations from the Synod for returning to campus, the Council announces the following schedule of beginnings:
- June 1, 2020: Staff Return to the Church Office. Staff will follow the workday guidelines established by the Executive Council.
- July 1, 2020: Small Group Ministries Resume. Small groups will follow all CDC guidelines for physical distancing and no gathering will exceed 15 people.
- August 2, 2020: Sunday and Wednesday Worship Resumes on campus with modifications still to be determined.
Below is a link to the minutes from Tuesday's meeting. The completed document,
We are Better Together:
A Plan to Safely and Purposefully Join Together,

Please keep in your prayers our leaders as they continue to be the church while navigating strange waters. It is with great care and compassion for all that we move forward.

In response to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, the Emanuel's Lutheran Church office staff had been working from home but is now transitioning back to the office.
Transitional Phase 1:
- Our church staff will begin a more full time transition back to the office beginning June 1st.
- We will stagger who is in the office and who is working from home each day, keeping a total of three staff in the office at any one time.
- Our staff will be working 8am to 5pm Monday through Thursday and limited times on Friday.
- Call the office before making a trip to the church. It is best to make an appointment to speak with staff. There will be very limited seating in the reception area. Remain in reception until a staff member comes to you and welcomes you into their office.
- Please remember, for the safety of our staff, other visitors, and those with whom we do ministry, masks must be worn at all times on the church campus.
Everyone is still accessible via
email
and telephone. You may continue to call us at 830-379-5046. Messages are checked daily.
We continue to hold each of you and your families in our prayers. We are BETTER TOGETHER… even if it is virtually!
