2025 Community Grants Closing Soon!

Dear Ron,

July 21, 2025

The application for Texas Pride Community Foundation’s 2025 Community Grants program remains open through Thursday, July 24. This cycle marks our first under our new name and celebrates a decade of impact. We continue to fund bold, grassroots LGBTQ+ leadership across Texas, with a focus on BIPOC-, trans-, and rural-led efforts.

This year, we’ve launched a new grants portal designed to improve transparency, access, and efficiency. Please note that all applicants will need to create a new profile before applying. If you’re building LGBTQ+ power in under-resourced communities, we encourage you to apply.

Grantee Spotlight: A Night of Reclaimimg LGBTQ+ Hope

Last month, Texas Pride Community Foundation’s Program Director, Robert Salcido, traveled to Dallas to visit our grantee partner Dallas Hope Charities and attend their powerful Pride Month event, “Reclaiming LGBTQ+ Hope” held at the Dallas Contemporary. The evening featured a thought-provoking panel discussion that brought together a dynamic group of LGBTQ+ leaders who shared stories of resilience, identity, and advocacy.

Panelists included Javier Enriquez (DSQO, Prism Health NTX), Dr. Steffanie Grossman (Dakota Therapy), Jay Rosa (Jolt Initiative), and our very own Míchél Macklin-Encarnacion (Texas Pride Community Foundation), with the conversation skillfully moderated by Gary Sanchez, Foundation Chair of the North Texas LGBT Chamber of Commerce.

The panel explored the origins of Pride as a riot born out of resistance, and how hope in our community is sustained through ongoing collective action. As one panelist shared, “Hope without action is an empty vessel.” That theme echoed throughout the evening — reminding us that real change is rooted in both vision and effort.

In addition to the panel, a resource fair spotlighted the work of North Texas’ grassroots organizations and initiatives, demonstrating the power and passion of local leadership. The night served as a meaningful reminder that when we gather with intention, share our truths, and support one another, we continue the legacy of Pride in its truest form — a movement fueled by courage, community, and yes, HOPE.

We’re proud to support organizations like Dallas Hope Charities through our Community Grants program. The work of our Foundation is only possible because of the generous support of donors who believe in building a more just and equitable Texas for LGBTQ+ communities.
