Teens Teaching Teens
Research shows that one of the most effective ways to learn information is through teaching others! Our Peer 2 Peer program trains middle and high school youth as Peer Educators who deliver substance use prevention and health promotion presentations to younger classmates and adults throughout the year.
Open to youth groups throughout the North Sound region, Peer 2 Peer empowers young people as leaders and powerful agents of change in their community! The next Peer 2 Peer trainings are happening in October. Learn more here

More than 50 million American adults consider themselves to be in recovery from their substance use and/or mental health problems. Hope, the belief that these challenges and conditions can be overcome, is the foundation of recovery. A person’s recovery is built on his or her strengths, talents, coping abilities, resources, and inherent values. It addresses the whole person and their community, and is supported by peers, friends, and family members.
National Recovery Month recognizes that with the right treatment, support, and resources, recovery is REAL (Restoring Every Aspect of Life) for everyone.

Harvest Recipe
Did you know eggplant, an often-under-appreciated vegetable rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals, can grow in Skagit County? The school farm in concrete has been harvesting glossy purple eggplant, also referred to as aubergine (Europe) or brinjal (South Asia), since August and will continue to do so through to the first frost.
To help farmstand visitors enjoy their eggplants, our team uncovered a grilled eggplant parmesan recipe from America’s Test Kitchen. It has the delicious savory flavors of the popular dish, without the mess of frying!
