School Calendars Can Be Found Here

Bell Schedules Can be Found Here

Spotlight of the Week: Student Council will be transitioning into a House leadership model for next year; this will give more students opportunities to be leaders in the school, and it will help us have more students designated to the planning of events. In our new model, instead of one Student Body President, we will have two School Captains. Each House will also have one senior House Captain and a House Representative from each grade level (32 student total). Each family will also have two leaders. Applications are currently open for these leadership positions.

Knights of the Week

Molly Manning

Academic Excellence

Molly is a very gifted student. She is a leader in her small group discussions and contributes is meaningful and penetrating ways in classroom discussions. Molly is one of the best students I've had in 50 years of teaching!

Marco Trotta

Academic Excellence

Marco Trotta deserves to be student of the week because of his consistent commitment to academic excellence and learning. He's one of the brightest, most intelligent 16 year olds I've ever met. At a young age, he understands the value of learning and has a genuine desire to improve himself by going above and beyond in all of his work and writing. Not only is he the ideal student, but he's also a kind and respectful young man--the world needs more Marco Trotta's in the world and I'm grateful to have met one!

Ava Thomas

Academic Excellence

Ava is one of the most gifted students I've taught throughout my long career. Her Ignatian Reflection is most inspirational, and displays a very rare ability to discuss complex theological issues in both prose and deep poetic awareness.

BK Staff of the Week Mrs. Alyssa Thaldorf

Safe and Caring Place

Mrs. Thaladorf always makes sure that every student is welcome in her classroom.  She is always there when any student needs help with a positive attitude and an understandable explanation. She is aware of students’ lives outside of school and provides a manageable workload.  Mrs. Thaldorf is kind, and she’s lots of fun while also helping us learn the material.

BK Staff of the Week Mr. Jake Spears

Generosity

Mr. Spears is just the best.  He makes class really fun and is always there to give advice on Senior Thesis.  He asks a lot of fun questions in the middle of work for participation points so we aren't bored.  Not only does he care for his students personally, but he wants them to succeed in his class. He is always there for each of us and makes all of our ideas in class feel heard.

One Day One Knight - BK's Day of Giving on 3/12/25

Attendance Office Procedures

  • Parents are asked to email the school’s Attendance Office before 9:30am on the day a student will be absent from class for all or part of the school day due to an illness or an appointment. That email is attendance@bk.org
  • Bishop Kelly is a closed campus.  This means that students who have professional appointments may leave and return back to campus with a doctor's note or other documentation excusing the absence.  If a parent chooses to check out a student for a non-professional or non-medical reason, then the student will be checked out for the rest of the day.  The student may not return to school that day unless they have a doctor's note or other professional documentation. Our goal is to limit classroom disruptions and maintain the academic integrity of the classroom.  This may affect activity eligibility for the day.
  • Students must sign-out at the Attendance window when they leave campus during the school day, and sign back in at the Attendance Window with documentation when they return.

Helpful Information on the BK Website

And at the very bottom of every page on BK.org, you'll always find these GEMS:

There's also a very handy search tool in the upper right corner of the website.
