New in the Shop!

Oregon has no river more steeped in Steelheading history than the North Umpqua. Famous authors, politicians, artists, and pioneering anglers have haunted its banks and waded her icy waters to cast a fly in legendary pools and riffles.

Among the anglers who called this river home water, Joe Howell is a living legend and still makes his home within earshot of her tumbling rapids. His knowledge of the river, the fish, and the fishing is second to none. His original fly patterns are found in the boxes of many who follow in the footsteps of the ghosts that still haunt these hallowed waters. Now, he's put his passion and knowledge into a new Fly Fishing Guide to the North Umpqua.

Cookie Lady Coat Drive

We're over 200 coats on our way to 400! The Cookie Lady Coat Drive is in full swing, but we need your donations! We have some incredible prizes to be raffled off with your donation, leading off with an RS rain jacket from Skwala, a pair of River Ops Boa boots from Korkers, and fly lines from Scientific Anglers and Rio. We'll round it out with plenty of consolation prizes, so clean out the closet and bring your coat donations in to exchange for a raffle ticket. The coat drive runs through Black Friday, November 29th.

Once again, the American Military Encouragement Network (AMEN) will be our chosen organization for your efforts. AMEN is a non-profit organization that offers assistance and encouragement to homeless veterans, active and reserve military personnel, servicemen, women, and military families in Oregon and SW Washington.

Ethan's nets are the pinnacle of the woodworker's art, with many using unique live edge burl that make each creation a one-of-a-kind treasure. And...

Christmas Island 2025

With Josh Linn

Josh has a few spots available on his Christmas Island trip this spring. Stop in the shop to discuss the details.

Christmas Island is situated in the Pacific Ocean, south of Hawaii. You are probably thinking of a tropical island paradise in the Pacific Ocean, and you are partially right. If stranded on Christmas Island before it had become inhabited, you would probably die within a week. There is no fresh water and very little naturally growing food. This is a very inhospitable place. But if your idea of a tropical paradise is an unlimited amount of endless flats, lots of bonefish, trevally, and many other species, and a room with air conditioning and a bed, then this is the place for you...
