STAFF SPEAKING
Here is a note from the Carbon Reduction Summer Intern,
Natalie Alteen:
"Since moving to Prince George in May, I have been working on a myriad of exciting projects at the Chamber and enjoying Northern outdoor adventures! Continuing with Phase 3 of the Carbon Footprint project, I have been working with the participating local businesses to assist them with energy reductions and saving opportunities where possible. The Chamber would like to build on the success of this collaborative project and facilitate other partnership opportunities for our members and local educational institutions. As our institutions have a wealth of expertise in a diversity of areas, it is a cost-effective way to address business needs and continue successful engagement and economic development within the City. Below is a link to a survey. It takes about 4-5 minutes to complete and may open the door to new and innovative opportunities for your business. Have a great summer~!"

2015 COMMUNITY - BASED BUSINESS ENHANCEMENT SURVEY
Are you interested in tapping into the wealth of expertise, research and technology that is available at our local educational institutions?
UNBC and CNC are top-quality resources for the Prince George business community, and the Prince George Chamber of Commerce wants to help your business take advantage of partnership opportunities. This can span from marketing, communications, resource management, technology, power engineering, international business, medical, and energy management. This survey is the first step in gauging the business community's interest in collaborating with our local educational institutions.
Here are some examples of recent collaborations:
- The Prince George Chamber's Carbon Footprint Reduction project with volunteer local businesses and UNBC.
- BC Patient Transfer Network and UNBC's work to enhanced patient transfer across various health care providers through software development.
- Quesnel-based West Fraser Mills and FPInnovations partnership with CNC to develop a 3-D terrain model using drone technologies.
- CNC's Digital Technology Adoption Pilot Program aimed at helping small and medium-sized local businesses better adopt digital technology to foster innovation and increase productivity.
Please consider participating in this survey, so that we can determine what type of partnerships will be most beneficial for you.
