It is through education, grass roots community involvement, direct assistance, and our 24/7 confidential multilingual referral helpline that we are able to reach the distressed pregnant girls and women and offer them the support they need; when they need it. We have assisted callers, from all walks of life; the youngest was 13-years of age and the oldest was 41-years old.
The service that A Safe Haven for Newborns provides is essential for the well being of the unborn child and the mother. That is why our doors remained opened and our telephone lines manned during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Taking all the necessary precautions and working in a safe environment we continued our mission 24/7 — the mission to save lives, assist the women in need and to create a greater awareness of this life-saving mission is what A Safe Haven for Newborns is all about.
Our Program has reached past our state line. We have been contacted by girls and women in several other states that are in need of the support we provide. The help that is offered is in the form of
- referrals to counseling
- shelters
- maternity homes
- providing temporary housing
- help for abuse issues
- suicide call
- providing baby items, and
- a connection to Medicaid
We believe that EVERY life is precious. So, as I always do, I ask if you would please share what we do on your social media. Public awareness is truly saving lives.
As always, sending you my best wishes,
Nick
