VBCF is currently making Zoom meeting appointments with key members of Virginia's Congressional Delegation. On Lobby Day, we'll ask them to support NBCC's legislative priorities including the Metastatic Breast Cancer Access to Care Act, and funding for the innovative Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program (DoD BCRP).
As a volunteer advocate, participating in Lobby Day does not require you to be an expert. NBCC-trained Team Leaders will present our priority "asks" and can answer any tough questions that arise. But, there is power in numbers, and sharing your personal experience with breast cancer can help drive the message home to our Congressional leaders.

Lobby Day: Tuesday, May 3rd, appointment times TBD.
We will meet via Zoom with legislators and/or their staff. Meetings typically last about 15 minutes and you do not have to attend every meeting. Please note: we will not be able to Zoom with every Virginia legislator's office, so you may not meet with your own Representative.
Lobby Day Orientation Meeting: May 2nd at 5 pm via Zoom
VBCF will host an orientation meeting to give an overview of what to expect at our lobby day meetings and answer any questions you may have.
