KEEPING IT CLEAN
Mark your calendars for the 20th Annual Downtown Clean Day happening on May 26th. Organized by the Durango Chamber of Commerce and your BID, Clean Day brings together our local Downtown community to make sure the town is sparkling for upcoming tourist season. It’s a great excuse to get outside and do some team building through community service. Watch for next week’s e-news to register your team or yourself!

REWARDS PAY OFF
As we wind down the Spring Rewards local shopping incentive program, our tallies indicate that so far we helped generate over $162,000 in local spending in a little over five weeks! There are a very small number of $50.00 reward gift cards remaining. Click the link above for the rules and to submit your receipts to claim one of the last rewards. Thank you to our sponsors for supporting programs that infuse money straight back into our local economy: Alpine Bank, Urban Market, and the Durango Chamber of Commerce.

BOARD SHOUT OUTS
We’d like to give a big thank you to our board members that give their time and energy to the health of our organization for the good of our business community. Each one of these leaders have their own busy roles in addition to the time served on our board:
- Board chair James Allred is the owner of one of Downtown’s best fine dining experiences, Eolus Bar & Dining.
- Ashley Gonnella is our incoming board chair. Ashley and her husband own two Downtown businesses, Pine Needle Mountaineering and Pine Needle Dry Goods. Pine Needle Mountaineering has been a cornerstone Downtown business since 1976.
- Geoff Overington is our treasurer and secretary. Geoff is a broker and team leader for Keller Williams Realty Southwest Associates. KW has the most agents of any real estate office in Durango.
- Our newest board member is Monica Broderick, owner of Urban Market, one of Downtown’s most popular stores, and Urban Market Home.
- Former board chair Carly Thomson is the co-owner of Zia Taqueria and Sage Fresh Eats, three very busy, locals’ favorite restaurants.
Thank you all for contributing to our thriving local business community!
