The Jerrold L. Stein Student Life Awards for Excellence in Student Leadership and Campus Involvement is an annual celebration of the exceptional students, organizations, and advisors at Stony Brook University. 


Nominations for the Student Life Awards are now OPEN! Please consider recognizing other students, organizations, or advisors who have positively impacted the club community this semester by submitting a nomination.

New Club Involvement Fair: December 4th: Union Ballroom 12:30 -2 pm

Join us to learn more about the clubs that have successfully gone through our New Club Process this fall! They will be tabling during Campus Life Time to showcase their organizations to students interested in joining. 


Some clubs you can see include Active Minds, Pause for Paws, Undergraduate Economic Association, Geology Club, Pan-African Muslim Association, and more!

Leadership Series

Leader of the (Seawolves) Pack is our leadership series. We work alongside stakeholders and partners to provide workshops to enhance their leadership skills, ranging from Communication Style, Event Planning, and Risk Management to Navigating Difficult Conversations. Workshops are open to all students. Participation in sessions is tracked, and all attendees are eligible to win prizes for themselves and their organization.

Club Storage Space Allocation Committee


We invite you to apply to serve as a student representative for the Space Allocation Committee to ensure diverse input and collaboration. This is a voluntary position for the 2024-2025 academic year, concluding on May 17th, 2025. The Space Allocation Committee comprises various campus stakeholders, including the Undergraduate Student Government, Student Engagement and Activities, and Campus Life Centers, providing a unique opportunity to network with key professional staff while contributing to critical organizational decisions. Additionally, this experience will enhance your resume by showcasing your involvement in project planning, strategic decision-making, and collaboration across student groups.



If you want to apply, please complete the attached form by 5 pm November 30th, 2024.

New Club Storage Space Timeline - Feedback Requested

We are in the process of composing a new space allocation timeline that would shift from our traditional approach, and we would like feedback from all RSO members. Please take a moment to fill out a brief form by December 4th, 2024, to help us determine the most suitable timeline for all RSOs and to share any suggestions for improving the process.

Fall 2024 USG Club Funding Information

USG Grants: USG is now accepting grant applications for the Spring semester! All grants are reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis. All undergraduate clubs can apply for event, travel, and asset grants. Please refer to this presentation for more information on grants. Completed applications should be emailed to usg_treasurer@stonybrook.edu

  • USG has recently approved the Weekend and Evening Enhancement Grant (WEEE) sponsored by the University! This grant aims to foster and enhance student life on campus by providing additional support and incentives to the vibrant weekend/evening programs hosted by RSOs. Organizations will have the opportunity to receive funding for collaborative/individual events hosted by RSOs, specifically on nights and/or weekends. All organizations are eligible to apply.


Fall PBC Applications: PBC applications for the fall semester are now closed, thank you for applying! Reminder: clubs applying for a line budget must use at least 75% of their PBC budget to be eligible.


Spring PBC Applications: PBC applications for the spring semester will go live two weeks prior to the start of the spring semester. Look out from emails from the Office of Clubs and Orgs for further instruction as well as information on upcoming PBC workshops!


Treasury Timelines

As a reminder, invoice requests must be submitted with all required materials 3 weeks prior to the date that you expect your item. Any invoice requests involving contracts must be submitted 4 weeks prior to the date of the event.


RHA/Hall Council Club Collaboration Grant: Want to collaborate with a Hall Council and have a way to utilize residential hall spaces? The RHA Grant provides a way to take your event to the next level. More information is here to read. Funds will be prioritized for Saturday and Sunday events. All organizations are eligible to apply.
