The third annual World Photography Day Photo Contest is open until July 31. Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to enter up to 5 photos.
Submissions will be judged by a subcommittee of the Westshore Alliance Public Art Committee. Top three winners will be awarded a cash prize and up to 25 finalists will be featured in a pop-up gallery this fall in the Westshore District. Details and enter:

Howard Frankland Bridge Trail Opening Ribbon Cutting
The Westshore Alliance was joined by community members, active transportation advocates, and local officials on June 6 to celebrate the opening of the Howard Frankland Bridge Trail. Check out the WFLA Channel 8 segment on the ribbon cutting to hear from Councilman Charlie Miranda and Charles Hines (program director of the Florida Gulf Coast Trail) on the significance of this new connection. The St. Pete Catalyst reported on the event as well.

N. West Shore Boulevard Landscaping RFP Open until July 17

The Westshore Alliance is seeking proposals from qualified landscape firms to provide professional landscaping installation, maintenance, and management to three medians located along N. West Shore Boulevard. The RFP submission window is open until July 17, 2026 at 2:00 PM. For all relevant bid documents, please click here.

World Car Free Day 2026

Mark your calendars! World Car Free Day is coming back to Tampa on Saturday, September 26. The Westshore Alliance will host an activation zone in Midtown Tampa, with two other activation zones planned in Downtown and Ybor City.
