General Membership Meeting (In-person)

Tonight at 7:30 pm meeting (6:30 pm fly tying)

Guest Speaker: Rob Snowhite

Rob Snowhite (real last name) is a native of Reston Virginia. He learned to fly fish at a young age and explored his local streams and lakes throughout his childhood. He is now an urban fly fishing guide and instructor. He teaches people how to fly fish, provides guiding services, and shares his knowledge and experiences through various platforms such as social media, blogs, and workshops. He is particularly known for his expertise in utilizing urban fly fishing locations in and around the Potomac River area near Washington, D.C. Each guided trip is an exciting and educational adventure with Rob's encyclopedic knowledge of fishing, history, and nature. Rob will share locations, flies, and tactics for catching local fish in unexpected places. Rob hosts The Fly Fishing Consulting Podcast (also on itunes and spotify) where you can find more stories about urban fly fishing.

Additionally, Rob is known for his expertise in fly tying. Utilizing a wide range of materials, Rob creates his own unique flies tailored to the specific conditions and fish species he targets in the Potomac River and other nearby waters. His creative flies require few materials and basic techniques which makes them quick and easy to tie. Rob won't leave home without his Scorpion Bug, Purple Worm, Bacon Fly, and the Snowhite Damsel.

The Chapter Meeting will be held at the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department (400 Center Street S, Vienna, VA 22180, map). This will be an in‑person only meeting and there will not be a ZOOM broadcast. Meeting begins at 7:30 pm.
