Hello Attendee,
It’s been a while since our last update, and we wanted to reconnect with some important updates from Aditum Connect, and why that matters for property owners and operators navigating today’s multi-tenant real estate market.
A Quick Recap
Aditum was originally built to solve a very specific problem:
how to deliver a reliable, ISP-grade internet service to multi-tenant properties in a mutually profitable manor, and so easily managed that even the companies deploying it do not need to hire network engineers.
From the start, our platform excelled at supporting two of the three models available to properties:
- Bulk Internet – simple, predictable, cost-effective, but one size fits all.
- Retail Internet – fully isolated, tenant customizable service, but terrible NOI for the building
But there is a third option in the market, managed Wi-Fi, and among many limitations, it also came with a difficult tradeoff.
If a building owner wanted property-wide managed Wi-Fi, they were typically forced to:
- Abandon retail or bulk internet models
- Accept limited tenant device compatibility
- Or Deploy parallel or overlapping infrastructure,
- And choose between network simplicity and long-term flexibility
In other words, owners needing property wide Wi-Fi had to pick one model and give up the benefits of the others or build expensive parallel competing infrastructure.
That limitation is what brings us to the next phase of Aditum.
One Platform. Three Models. No Tradeoffs.
With the introduction of Wi-Fi Traverse Aditum Connect now unifies all three connectivity models into a single platform:
- Bulk Internet economics
- Retail-grade service price and speed customization
- Purpose-built, property-wide Wi-Fi orchestration
This allows properties to support any mix of tenant internet, managed Wi-Fi, and building systems, without duplicate infrastructure, or operational complexity.
Wi-Fi Traverse: The Missing Layer, Now Built In
This is where Wi-Fi Traverse comes in.
Wi-Fi Traverse is a purpose built building-wide wireless orchestration layer, designed specifically to solve the problem that previously forced multi-tenant property owners to choose between bulk internet, retail service, or managed Wi-Fi.
With Wi-Fi Traverse, property owners can now deploy multiple, purpose-built wireless “Conduits” across a single infrastructure, including:
- Guest and common-area Wi-Fi
- IoT and building systems
- Administrative or staff access
Each Conduit is:
- Fully isolated
- Mapped directly to its own VLAN within the building switch layer
- Centrally managed
- Completely independent from tenant internet service
For the non-technical readers, this just means we are creating property wide wireless networks that are entirely isolated and secured from the tenant internet, that are very easy to setup and control.
This means properties no longer need to compromise between flexibility, performance, and control, or deploy parallel networks to support different use cases.
Most importantly, Wi-Fi Traverse does not replace having traditional and bulk internet service options. It extends it.
Owners can continue offering bulk or retail internet while simultaneously supporting modern building Wi-Fi needs, all from a single, unified platform, utilizing the same equipment.
That's right, you don't even need to buy additional hardware. It's built into every one of the new Zero Touch AX Series Wi-Fi routers.
That’s the difference:
- Not just one model
- No separate hardware
- Not a tradeoff
One platform. Three connectivity models. Fully integrated.
Zero Touch AX Series Routers
To support this architecture, we have the new Zero Touch AX Series routers, designed specifically for modern, multi-tenant deployments:
- Wi-Fi 6 performance up to gigabit speeds
- Fully automated provisioning
- Native support for Wi-Fi Traverse
- Built for long-term, scalable deployments
- Supports wired Wi-Fi access points for expanded WLAN coverage
These devices are available today for order and will begin shipping later this month (February).
Why This Matters Right Now
Since rent rates peaked nationally in 2022, property owners have faced increasing pressure on Net Operating Income (NOI), with fewer levers available to offset rising costs.
Aditum helps restore NOI by:
- Turning connectivity into a controlled revenue stream
- Taking ownership of the Internet Revenue (increased valuation)
- Lowering operational overhead
- Supporting modern tenant and building technology needs
In many cases, properties using Aditum Connect are able to recover NOI levels close to 2022 peak margins, without raising rents or increasing operational complexity, or increasing tenant total monthly spend. The average property generates an additional $780/yr in revenue per unit at a 40% profit margin, and zeros out all current operating expenses for connectivity.
The best part, Property owners typically see a Return On Investment (ROI) on deploying managed internet solutions of around 14-18 months.
What’s Next
Over the coming months, we’ll be sharing:
- Deeper dives into Wi-Fi Traverse use cases as properties begin to roll out the new AX series routers
- Real-world deployment examples
- Additional updates to the AX platform and future roadmap.
If you’d like to discuss how Aditum fits into your portfolio or upcoming projects, we’d be happy to connect.
