Recruiting new members through the Optimist Junior Golf Program

Invite the parents and golfers that play in our qualifiers to attend a future Optimist meeting in their hometown. Invite them to your District Meetings. Have the golfers tell about their experience at the Optimist Championship. Most parents are very grateful to the Optimists for sponsoring their child! New member recruitment is an easy way to strengthen your District and expand the Optimist Golf Program.
What is the Value for a Golfer to Attend the Championships?
The registration fee is $730 US per golfer ($660.00 if a 1st place winner) which includes:
· Tournament Entry Fee
· Golf (tournament rounds) (practice rounds additional)
· 5-night lodging
· 5 breakfasts and 4 dinners
· And access to all Special Events which include Glow ball, Long Drive Competition, Video Arcade room, ParTee night and educational seminar
Additional fees due apply for family and guests attending which also includes their housing and meals. Due to the exclusive nature of the event, golfers are required to stay at Trump National Doral.
The 2021 dates for the Optimist International Junior Golf Championships are

July 14-19, 2021 -- Boys 10-11, 12-13 and Girls 10-12
July 19-24, 2021 -- Boys 14-15 and Girls 13-14
July 24-29, 2021 -- Boys 16-18 and Girls 15-18
There is more to the Optimist Golf Program than just the Championship and all the Optimist qualifiers.
In November, we have the Tournament of Champions held November 14-15, 2020 at PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens FL. A junior golf championship event for top finishers of the summer Optimist Championships, winners of Optimist District qualifiers, golfers who are included in the Top 100 overall Golfweek and Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings and other top junior golfers from around the world.
