MUSED HOUSTON ART EVENTS | July 30

THIS WEEK IN HOUSTON

July 30–August 3, 2025

This week, Houston’s art scene turns up the heat—literally and creatively. From curated vinyl vibes and thought-provoking readings to powerful group shows and White Linen Night adjacent events, the city is bursting with opportunities to experience art in motion.

Whether you’re craving a laid-back mingle or a deep dive into the meaning of expression, there’s something to catch your eye (and ear) each day.

P.S. Don’t miss Saturday’s jam-packed lineup—it’s a full-on celebration of local talent, collaborative spirit, and late-summer magic.

THIS WEEK IS MY 9th HOUSTON ANNIVERSARY! After two days of driving from Los Angeles across Arizona and New Mexico to Texas in the heat of the summer, I arrived in the Bayou City during a thunderstorm on July 27, 2016 with my adorable mama, Patti Lou and my two since-departed dogs Vatche and Downtown Foxy Brown, in tow. I said if I could survive August in Houston, I'd stay, and so here I am ... nine years later.
